When city trees “rest” in winter, they slow down their metabolic processes, store energy, and protect themselves from the cold and dry conditions. This period of rest ensures their survival. On a guided tour through Mauerpark, you’ll learn about all these effects and discover how you can learn from trees: gathering strength, slowing down, and conserving resources. Those who consciously experience the winter stillness will discover just how restorative these breaks are for both body and mind.
