The third part of the summer exhibition is dedicated to a special album by Helmut Newton, which the photographer compiled for the collector Gert Elfering in 1999 and which is now part of the Nicola Erni Collection.

On display are iconic fashion photographs as well as previously unpublished behind-the-scenes shots taken on the sidelines of fashion shoots, along with Polaroids and advertising photographs. The collector is presenting this unique item for the first time outside her exhibition space in Switzerland—and thus for the first time in Berlin. The album comprises 112 small-format original prints in black and white and color, in various formats. Newton and Elfering selected the photographs together, mounted them on backing board, and added handwritten titles or supplementary anecdotes about the respective subjects. The photographs were not bound at the time. Today, they are individually framed and can be viewed side by side.
