Heinz Erhardt's humor remains unique to this day: playful, subtle, and always with a twinkle in his eye. Few entertainers since have mastered the nuances of comedic and often musical communication with their audience so perfectly, captivating and entertaining them.
Even today, at least two generations after his death, young and old alike enjoy the sketches, films, songs, and witty poems of the "Uncle of the Nation," as the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung called him. In "Eyes Open and Through It All," his timeless sketches, poems, and chansons meet the energy of a big band and the stage presence of three exceptional artists.
