Shakespeare’s most famous play is a family drama, a tragedy of revenge with elements of horror, and a psychological study all rolled into one. Allegedly haunted by the ghost of his father, Hamlet is tasked not only with avenging his father’s presumed murder, but also with setting right everything that has gone wrong in the world.
