The Georg Kolbe Museum was designed by Ernst Rentsch in 1928–29 as an architectural ensemble for the sculptor. It is the only surviving studio house from the 1920s in Berlin.

Georg Kolbe envisioned the ideal of an “open-air workspace” for the garden in the heart of his studio complex. The sculptor created a unique symbiosis of architecture, nature, and sculpture through the interplay of light. Learn more during a guided tour of the museum’s architecture and garden.

Meeting point: Sculpture Courtyard. No registration is required. The guided tour of the garden is free of charge.
