Tandem tour - The way is half as far with two people
In dialogue with our mediators and with the help of augmented reality, you will learn exciting stories from Papua New Guinea about crocodile skins, two-gendered ancestral spirits or the initiation ritual in the cult house of the Abelam.

You will see unpublished archive material, enter the inner chambers of the cult house virtually and encounter an impressive statue, the Puti figure. In addition the mediators will challenge our Western view of oceanic cultural belongings, colonial collecting practices and how gender narratives are established in the museum context.
