Tour for blind and visually impaired people
The Festival of Future Nows offers blind and visually impaired visitors a special educational format that allows them to experience experimental artistic positions through various sensory levels.
In a 90-minute tour of the Neue Nationalgalerie, selected works will be accessible through different sensory approaches. These include tactile experiences with materials and structures, intense auditory experiences with sound works, and the spatial perception of installations and performances in Mies van der Rohe's iconic museum building.
The contemporary artworks are conveyed through detailed descriptions, direct encounters with the materialities and the specific spatial sound of the architecture. This creates dialogue and exchange – with the works, the accompanying art educators and other participants.
The open festival format invites you to become part of the experimental atmosphere and experience contemporary art as a space for reflection on social issues and visions of the future.
