Festive service at 10 a.m.

Guided tours at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Staff from the Church Interest Group will offer guided tours on the history of the hospital and nursing home in Wuhlgarten. The hospital complex in Wuhlgarten was built between 1890 and 1893 based on designs by city planning officer Hermann Blankenstein. To the east, the grounds merge seamlessly into the gently sloping hillsides of the Wuhle Valley, which are lined with avenues of fruit trees and were once used for agriculture. The guided tours will focus on the brick tradition and the colourful park with its rare trees, some of which are over 100 years old. The changing history of the institution during the First and Second World Wars will also be a topic of the tours.

Exhibition 2–5 p.m.

The exhibition ‘80 Years – 80 Faces’ invites you to linger. Since 1945, Volkssolidarität has stood for cohesion, care and active solidarity. The exhibition shows people who shape Volkssolidarität today. 80 personalities, 80 stories, 80 insights into a vibrant community. Photographer Gerhard Westrich has captured them in expressive portraits.
Exhibition duration: until 21 September 2025, daily from 2 pm to 5 pm


Concert at 5 pm

Look forward to the concert by NOTENSCHACHTELN. This charming trio consists of talented musicians Anne Baginski on the viola, Christine Barnett on the piano and Ute Schmidt on the cello. They have put together a varied programme that includes classical music, klezmer, jazz, film music, evergreens and some exciting surprises.

Let yourself be carried away by the trio's infectious enthusiasm and enjoy an unforgettable evening.


Admission is free, but donations for the work of the hospital church are welcome.
