Familienkonzert: Peer Gynt für Kinder
To kick off the new year, the German-Scandinavian Youth Philharmonic invites you to a special guest performance: About 60 young musicians from 20 countries around the world will present a musical experience for children, parents, and grandparents.
The program features Edvard Grieg’s famous incidental music, as well as Andreas Peer Kähler’s “Orchestral Miniatures for Peer Gynt,” which recount the adventurous story of the Norwegian liar, globetrotter, and braggart hero—based on Henrik Ibsen’s play—in a child-friendly manner and in chronological order.
Andreas Peer Kähler will guide the audience through the concert with his usual charming commentary, while Martin Braun conducts. The moving songs of Solveig will be performed by soprano Julie Wyma.
- Recommended for children ages 5 and up. Duration: approx. 70 minutes, no intermission.
After the concert in the foyer: Try out musical instruments from the “Klingendes Museum” under expert guidance.
