Christmas is just round the corner, and Albertina – a kind-hearted but not-at-all-sweet schoolgirl – is really looking forward to it. In high spirits, and laden with Christmas decorations and home-baked biscuits, she sets off for the scrapyard to visit her friends Henriette and Marvin. But Marvin is rambling on about hibernation, and Henriette is lost in her own world too.

When Albertina then finds out that her mum doesn’t want a Christmas tree this year, her good mood vanishes and she makes a momentous decision. Just for fun, she wishes for a Christmas tree in the wishing tub – and her wish actually comes true!
But of course, this is no ordinary Christmas tree, and instead of peaceful anticipation, absolute chaos suddenly reigns.
