Gantuya Badamgarav, Lih Qun Wong, Ray Tseng
Inspired by the short story “Marriage with Dragonfly” by the acclaimed writer and poet Ulziitugs Luvsandorj, the multidisciplinary performance “Dragonfly – Homeland of the Soul” invites audiences to immerse themselves in a dense world of sound, poetry, and mystical atmosphere.
Luvsandorj’s text follows the journey of a woman who, in dialogue with a dragonfly, explores her loneliness and the complex emotions tied to it.
In many cultures, the dragonfly symbolizes self-awareness, psychological transformation, and change. The writer employs it as a metaphor for the inner voice, unfolding a powerful narrative of self-discovery.
Gantuya Badamgarav, Lih Qun Wong, and Ray Tseng translate this poetic imagery into an aesthetic and spatial experience, creating a space for an intense engagement with the inner self and the transformative power of loneliness.
