The same experts sit on the same panels over and over again, offering the same opinions time and time again. Yet no one stands up and smashes this table right now.
The hosts of the “Don’t Read Theory” podcast, Ayşegül and Valentin, want to bring the joy of debate back to the Volksbühne. The desire for connection and discussion shouldn’t continue to be left to just a few. Everyone has to go through this together. The goal is to create a space where they can break down the invisible walls in their minds together—and even celebrate their awkwardness for a change. The best way to do that is around a generously set table.
That’s why they’re transforming the Roter Salon into a small-plates restaurant for one evening—just as befits Berlin Mitte.
