A French comedy starring Dieter Hallervorden and others

What happens when a depressed journalist, an incorrigible optimist, a policeman with a serious violence problem and a hairdresser who invariably manages to get herself into the most absurd situations all cross paths? Naturally: total chaos.

In Francis Veber’s black comedy, four very different characters collide – and with them, their ideas about love, marriage, morality and ‘normal’ life.

Eric struggles with his depression and the world in general, whilst his wife Christine desperately tries to look after everything and everyone. Her brother Pierre, on the other hand, has a rather unconventional understanding of law and order for a police officer, whilst his wife Sophie seems to stumble effortlessly from one disaster to the next. What begins as everyday family life increasingly spirals out of control: a marriage is on the brink of collapse, a police career is in danger of falling apart, misunderstandings escalate – and right in the middle of it all, Christine continues to try to make the impossible possible.
