The new KIEZKLUB production asks: Who is working too little here?

"We need to work more in Germany again!" demands the Chancellor. But how lazy is Neukölln really?

Nine Berliners come together in Heimathafen as a temporary office collective and weigh in on the current debate about work and the welfare state.

They talk about their daily lives in hospitals, at the EU, in daycare centers, receiving basic income support, or in unions. Why is work with machines valued more than work with people? Why is work with the mind valued more than work with the hands?

Caught between hustle culture, secret confessions, and existential angst, these Berliners sometimes dream of a cozy office job.

Then the collective transforms into true idlers:

Do people need to relearn how to be lazy? Can they fight the performance-driven society from the break room? But first, a disco break, and then they'll really let loose.
