Anyone who wants to help shape the future of nursing care shouldn’t miss German Nursing Day. German Nursing Day (DPT) is taking place in Berlin for the 13th time. It is the only national event organized directly by nurses for nurses. German Nursing Day has grown into the most important gathering for the nursing profession in Germany, attracting significant media and political attention. Open dialogue between decision-makers and practitioners from politics, business, and society is the central focus of the German Nursing Day. Several thousand participants come together each year to discuss the future of nursing, raise the profile of the profession, and develop solutions. This year’s theme is “Nursing Makes a Difference.” The main program, organized by the German Nursing Council (DPT), is supplemented by lectures and panel discussions as part of the partner and sponsor program. Alternative formats such as workshops and short presentations on the HotSpot stage round out the program. As a new feature, the Future Summit on Digital Care will take place for the first time on November 12, 2026, as part of the DPT. The event is aimed at decision-makers from care facilities, service provider associations, politics, and the digital economy. On the second day of the event, the Care Culture Congress (CCC) will focus on the diversity and perspectives of nursing professionals.
