Discover eight hundred years of history and culture! Berlin's oldest surviving church building has shaped the Nikolaiviertel and the city center since the Middle Ages: once a place of worship, now a museum of church, architectural, and urban history.

The model of the medieval twin city of Berlin and Cölln is particularly interesting for families. Here, children and adults can explore together which buildings from that time still exist and what they look like today.

An audio guide for families leads through the museum with exciting stories in German. Especially for children, there is a museum rally illustrated by Berlin comic artist Mawil in German, English, Turkish, Polish, and Arabic. A guided tour of the permanent exhibition "Berlin's Mitte" awaits you on the day of the exhibition.

The special exhibition "Decolonial - What Remains?!" explores Berlin's entanglement with colonial history from various artistic perspectives.
