The exhibition “Vietnam. Art. GDR. Reclaiming Solidarity” explores the connections between Vietnam and the GDR. It examines how international solidarity with Vietnam was reflected in the art of the GDR and showcases contemporary works that engage with the experiences of Vietnamese “contract workers”.
During a guided tour of the exhibition, curator Nam Nguyen explains how political ideals, personal experiences and forms of artistic expression are interwoven. He provides an insight into the artists’ biographies and the stories behind the creation of the historical and contemporary works.
The guided tour lasts approximately one hour and is included in the admission price (5 euros, concessions 3 euros). No advance booking is required.
