While winter lies clear and cool over Schlachtensee outside, the Fischerhütte invites you to enjoy a delicious kale detox in February—healthy eating, soothing enjoyment, and all in the cozy warmth of the fireplace.
Every Monday to Thursday from 5 p.m., the historic fireplace room becomes a cozy place to relax and enjoy a culinary detox with style. The focus here is on winter comfort food, a convivial atmosphere, and the green powerhouse vegetables of the season.
Winter cuisine with a feel-good factor
In the most romantic room of the Fischerhütte, right by the crackling open fire, everything will revolve around the green powerhouse of the season in the coming weeks.
Kale is considered a real super vegetable for good reason: rich in vitamins, minerals, and fiber, it strengthens the immune system, provides valuable antioxidants, and boosts the metabolism. Just the thing for cold days, long walks by the lake, and convivial evenings with friends or family.
The kitchen at Fischerhütte interprets this classic in a variety of ways. The winter menu includes hearty kale with Landknacker sausage from Eichsfeld and fresh farmhouse bread, a light winter salad with curly kale, sheep's cheese, and beetroot, and winter cod skrei on mustard sauce with kale and mashed potatoes. For particularly festive evenings, half a Brandenburg farm duck is even served with hearty kale and potato dumplings.
