In this gripping performance, Monika Błaszczak explores the transformative power of love, vulnerability, and resilience. CLAY works with the body and clay as vessels of memory and change, delving into cosmic interconnectedness, elemental forces, and sensuality, combining raw physicality with a deep, almost erotic relationship with the environment—an expression of intimacy, spirituality, and transformation. At its core, CLAY is a celebration of life and an exploration of the mystery of being human.
The performance is enhanced by Antonina Nowacka's haunting soundscape and Marta Szypulska's expressive set and costumes, which take the audience on an emotional journey. Whether first-time visitors or those returning to Venice and Poznań—the Berlin premiere promises an unforgettable experience.
After the performance, guests can enjoy a banquet featuring edible bread sculptures by Monika Dorniak and Akinori Tao, followed by an artist talk with Monika Błaszczak about her creative journey and the vision of her company.
To get guests in the mood, each guest will receive a welcome drink. Afterwards, the MDW Launch Party with surprise DJs invites you to celebrate and dance from 8:00 PM to midnight.
