Wolfgang Peuker was not only an important figure in the art scene of the GDR, but also influenced subsequent generations of artists as a professor at the weißensee kunsthochschule berlin.

The Stiftung Kunstforum Berliner Volksbank is showing late works by the virtuoso painter, who always commented critically on current events in his paintings, and is presenting four of his best-known students: Stefanie Hillich, Sibylle Prange, Philipp Schack, and Christian Thoelke, four of his best-known students.
The exhibition is a collaboration between the Stiftung Kunstforum Berliner Volksbank and the weißensee kunsthochschule berlin, which will celebrate its 80th anniversary in 2026.
