City Tour in the Historic S-Bahn train – with German and English guide

After the volunteers from “Historic S-Bahn Berlin” revived their Christmas and Easter trains and introduced a “Halloween train” last year, they are now offering rides with an “English car” for the first time on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in which a tour guide will address tourists and Berliners living abroad in English.

On trips 1 and 3 of the day, an English-speaking tour guide will be available in Car 3 for the ride in the historic cars from 1928 and 1938. English-speaking visitors are therefore asked to select “Car 3” for Trip 1 or Trip 3 via Reservix.

The association “Historische S-Bahn Berlin e.V.” is a volunteer organization of around 300 members that has managed the collection of historic S-Bahn trains from S-Bahn Berlin since 2009, when S-Bahn Berlin closed its museum and discontinued its own tours with historic trains in the wake of the financial crisis—see our website www.hisb.de. Since then, our volunteer team of around 50 hyperactive railway enthusiasts has been working hard not only to preserve the trains but also to ensure that we can once again offer regular trips through Berlin starting in 2023.
