For good reason, the Christmas Oratorio by
Johann Sebastian Bach determines the advent and Christmas time of churches and
concert halls every year once more. The RIAS Kammerchor Berlin attends to this
masterpiece with great joy again and again. This concert marks the beginning of
a little celebratory cycle, as we solemnise our 30 year creative collaboration
with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin.

The connection has been described as congenial partnership, as the choir and the orchestra can trust each other almost blindly. In which other way than with the music of the great Thomas Cantor could we celebrate such a friendship?
