The current exhibition ‘Mobilien – Was man mitnimmt, sind die Dinge’ (Movable Property – What You Take With You Are the Things) sheds light on the history of the ‘apartment building’ Schloss Britz between 1925 and 1945 and provides inspiration for Britz readings. Reciter Gunnar Hermann reads from texts by the rediscovered author Gabriele Tergit (‘Effingers’).

Her court reports for Berlin newspapers bring the turbulent era of the Weimar Republic to life, as do excerpts from the Berlin novel ‘Käsebier erobert den Kurfürstendamm’ (Käsebier Conquers the Kurfürstendamm), published in 1931.
