Reading at the Reinickendorf Museum
Author Florentine Anders tells the fascinating story of her charismatic grandfather, East German architect Hermann Henselmann. At the same time, she describes her extended family, especially two women—Isi and Isa—and their emancipation from their overbearing husband and father.
The novel also paints a broad picture of architectural and contemporary history in divided Berlin.
