Gudrun Sailer

As an exhibition explicitly dedicated to a local artistic perspective, the jury selected the artist Gudrun Sailer, who most recently exhibited at the gallery in 2021 under pandemic conditions. She layers ceramics and drawings in the gallery space and uses breaks in her formal language.

In this way, personal upheavals are recognisable as traces and layers in the clay. The jury praised this haptic approach to the theme of the year, which thus comes to a fitting conclusion.
