Blue is the colour of the uniform. There are plenty of jokes about men in uniform – we’ve all heard them. In ‘Blue’, they serve as the starting point for a theatrical reflection on police violence, power structures, fear and vulnerability: performed with precision, a surprisingly entertaining series of intense scenes unfolds, centred on confessions, threats, silence and fragile tenderness.

With their multi-award-winning production, Hop Signor follow in the tradition of object theatre. Their miniature world acts like a distorting mirror – ironic, exaggerated and, at the same time, painfully true.
The Greek puppetry duo are appearing at Theater der Dinge for the first time this year and will bring the festival to a close with their unsettling and powerful portrait of a society and its systems of control, which are based on authority and hierarchy.
