Festive End-of-Season Concert. Grand Images, Grand Emotions

Grand images, grand emotions—a spectacular end to the season! Beethoven’s dramatic “Egmont” Overture kicks off a concert evening full of musical highlights, serving as the crowning finale to the season.

The centerpiece is Brahms’ monumental Piano Concerto No. 2, performed by Ron Maxim Huang, the acclaimed recital partner of star violinist Daniel Hope. Following that, Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” conjures up a fascinating gallery of sounds in the listener’s mind’s eye, before Ravel’s Boléro brings the evening to a close with steadily mounting tension and an overwhelming finale—a season finale brimming with virtuosity, rich colors, and powerful emotions.
