Since the first Berlin Food Week, over 340,000 people from all over the world have come to Berlin to take part in the diverse events. Every year, workshops, networking events, and conferences take place throughout the city. But the heart of the festival remains the food tastings: look forward to one culinary delight after another.

What makes Berlin Food Week so special

  • On Friday and Saturday of the festival week, you’ll find the House of Food at Bikini Berlin. Here, local artisans, international brands, regional producers, and innovative startups present all kinds of culinary innovations.

  • At professional cooking events, you can look forward to experimental preparations, expert tips, and hands-on activities.

  • At the various events, you can strike up conversations with other guests, exhibitors, organizers, and chefs and exchange ideas on culinary topics.

  • For the first time, the OkSoberfest adds a dedicated festival for non-alcoholic enjoyment: Over three days at the Kulturbrauerei, innovative non-alcoholic beers and drinks will be showcased, complemented by a diverse program of tastings, shows, and masterclasses.

The History of Berlin Food Week

Berlin Food Week has been taking place regularly since 2014—since then, over 540 exhibitors and 700 chefs have cooked for festival guests. What began as a platform for discussion about the quality, origin, and preparation of food is now one of Germany’s largest food festivals. With a strong focus on sustainability and mindful consumption, Berlin Food Week is a melting pot for innovative food trends, sustainable concepts, and culinary experiments.
