“We can sing now, we can sleep later!” Under this motto, the Berlin Choral Association is launching a rather mad yet rather brilliant attempt to break a world record to mark its 125th anniversary:

  • 125 hours of choral singing – non-stop!
  • Choirs from all over the world
  • One stage
  • One shared goal: a world record!

Perhaps together they’ll make choral history!

When?

It all kicks off on Monday, 21 September 2026, at 1.00 pm. Then, on Saturday, 26 September 2026, at 6.00 pm sharp, it’s time to pop the corks, throw confetti in the air and celebrate together!

Where?

ATZE Music Theatre

Luxemburger Str. 20

13353 Berlin

And best of all:

The doors are open to the public throughout the event. And entry is free. You can pop in at any time, experience the choirs, sing along, get caught up in the excitement and simply have a good time.

And when is Bancanta’s turn?

Our big moment comes at midnight: we’ll be kicking off the final stage of the world record attempt with a musical performance – on the night of Friday 25 September 2026, into Saturday 26 September 2026. The night-time sessions will be themed ‘Berlin City Night’. It’s bound to be brilliant!

So: Come along and be part of it when Berlin sings for 125 hours and choirs from all over the world take to the stage together to set a new world record.

And if you can’t make it in person, don’t worry: the entire world record attempt will be livestreamed on “ALEX Berlin”.
