"The Nutcracker" in the version by Mikhail Venshchikov follows the Lassic traditions of the St. Petersburg Ballet School and preserves all the important dance pieces planned by the choreographers of the world premiere Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov.
Among them are not only the well-known snowflake and lumen waltzes as well as divertissements, but also dances which are performed for the first time after 100 years, such as "Adagio mit Schal" (Adagio with Shawl) from the I. Nude. "The Nutcracker" in the performance of the ballet company "Arts-Michel" from Saint Petersburg provides for the festive atmosphere shortly before New Year's Eve.
