WHO AM I – Portrait Workshop
This holiday course focuses on the human face. When were the first portraits created, and why? What colours and materials were used?
You’ll explore different techniques for depicting a face in a playful way, whether with pen and ink, pencil and charcoal, or paints and modelling clay… But we’ll also be using balloons and photos, and you can even print a face using cola!
Best of all: a truly great artist and a master of the self-portrait will be helping you – Käthe Kollwitz! Because, of course, you’ll be taking a very close look at her depictions of faces in the museum. Her entire life is reflected in them.
