Do you also dream of just getting away from it all – leaving the stresses of everyday life behind and simply travelling as far away as possible? The Berlin-based photographer Roland Marske made this dream a reality when he spent a year travelling around Australia.

To get to know the country and its people, he worked as a German teacher, dug for opals, herded cattle on a remote station, served beer in a quirky outback pub and guided tourists around a crocodile farm.

Ever since, he has been drawn back time and again to the Fifth Continent for shorter breaks, to immerse himself in the bustling city life of Sydney or Melbourne, to be introduced to the Dreamtime myths by Aboriginal people, to encounter kangaroos, koalas and crocodiles, and to explore the heat-shimmering Outback in a 4x4 on adventurous tracks.

‘AUS-Zeit Down Under’ is an exciting multi-vision show for anyone who dreams of travelling, has retained their curiosity about distant and unknown places, or perhaps even wants to dare to take a temporary break from it all.
