Berlin has always been a pioneer in housing development. The variety of forms and methods of different architectural manuscripts and time periods can best be seen in comparison. Each route confronts different concepts by legendary Berlin architects such as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Bruno Taut, Bruno Ahrens, Walter Gropius, Luckhardt & Anker, Mebes & Emmerich, Hugo Häring or Fehling / Gogel / Pfankuch, all of whom unite across theories and epochs to build in such a way that living is affordable, hygienic, airy and communal to organize, largely protected as a monument It enjoys an exemplary, international reputation.

The stations of this bus tour include the Experimental settlement Schorlemerallee, the settlement Onkel-Toms-Hütte and the student village Schlachtensee.
