Jack of all trades, master of the keyboard, master of improvisation, construction worker – all of this and much more is absolutely true. And perhaps also: a creative force driven by inspiration.
Which means that, whatever they come up with now as a press release for the programme, he will consistently find a way to avoid putting it into practice.
It’s never clear where he’ll take his audience – or himself. His repertoire is rich and brimming with rock, chanson, jazz and satirical poems, ranging from Krug, Biege and Lindenberg to, of course, countless songs of his own and, by now, even piano classics he’s composed himself.
The direction the whole thing ultimately takes depends just as much on the receptive audience and which spark jumps from where to where.
PUTENSEN is a musical grab bag full of surprises and constantly reinvents itself with sensitive flair.
“New songs and stories,” he announces – let yourself be surprised.
