The audience can expect Kiwi dream-folk from New Zealand – songs brimming with positive energy. His love of music isn’t just evident from the very first song; it’s infectious. If you like the music of Jack Johnson, Hollow Coves, Vance Joy and George Ezra, you’re sure to appreciate Mathew James White too.

Mathew was born in New Zealand and is known for his emotionally uplifting compositions. He regularly tours Europe and has built up a strong and steadily growing fanbase over the years – he often plays to sold-out venues.

A career highlight was his performance at the 2017 Blue Balls Festival in Lucerne, where he shared the stage with stars such as David Gray, Peter Doherty and José González.

Whilst he continues to tour with enthusiasm, he is also focusing on writing and composing for television.

This led to his latest song, “Only The Light” – an alt-pop anthem – being featured in the US Netflix miniseries “From Scratch”.

To date, he has released eight albums, three of which are available exclusively on his website – “We’re Home Now (2023)”, “Getting Through This With Positive Sounds” (2021) and “Old and New” (2019).

His fourth album, “I’m Thinking of You” (2017), is his most personal work to date, heavily influenced by the loss of his first son in 2014.
