Jazz am Helmholtzplatz e.V. presents

The Berlin jazz pianist Antje Rößeler has been moving between Helsinki, Stockholm and Berlin since her "Nordic Master of Jazz" studies. Many of her compositions are inspired by impressions that are therefore touching, such as her special relationship with Finland, where she seeks and sometimes finds a certain kind of peace.

Her album "Stockholm Trio" (WismART/AJazz), which was made from live recordings at the jazz club Schlot, earned good reviews in magazines like Jazzpodium and Jazzthetik.

"Love's Darknesses" (GAM music) was released in 2022 with a combination of recordings by the Berlin Trio and the Stockholm Trio "plus guests".

On a concert with the "Berlin Trio", the Märkische Allgemeine Zeitung wrote:

"In her music, which Antje Rößeler played almost only with her eyes closed, she showed not only her pianistic skills, but also a change from romantic, meditative sections to spirited rhythmic passages. She was congenially accompanied by her two colleagues. Bassist Christian Müller often shone with solos and drummer Leon Griese played almost melodiously..."
