She started out in Sydney punk bands, fronted rockabilly rock'n'roll band The Jukes before moving to China to play with blues/soul band BuZuiBuGui 不醉不归. Here she lived for five years while recording and touring with UK Dj Dsk and the Lost Soul Collective.
In Berlin, Angela formed Strangers by Day, a female-fronted 50s-60s R'n'B/soul band that released 'Polyesterdays' (2014). After a break recording music for theatre and film, Angela is back on the Berlin blues scene.
Inspired by singers like Bessie Smith, Janis Joplin, Sugar Pie Desanto and Irma Thomas, Angela delivers a soulful, emotional R'n'B vocal performance, but also knows how to spice it up when it's time for rock'n'roll.
