The greatest tenor of our time is finally returning to European stages in 2027: Maestro Andrea Bocelli is embarking on a major world tour with the “Romanza World Tour – Celebrating 30 Years of Romanza. A Timeless Journey of Music and Emotions”, marking an extraordinary milestone in his career.

He has a special, life-changing connection with Germany that has had a decisive influence on his career. On 15 May 2027, he will be performing in Berlin, thrilling the audience against the unique backdrop of the Waldbühne.

The tour centres on the album ‘Romanza’, with which Andrea Bocelli achieved international fame 30 years ago. The album features some of his greatest hits and remains one of the most successful Italian-language albums of all time.

The star tenor has a special connection with Germany. In 1996, his performance at the farewell boxing match of German world boxing champion Henry Maske proved to be a defining moment in his career. Bocelli sang “Con te partirò” from the album “Romanza”. The English-German version, “Time to Say Goodbye”, recorded together with Sarah Brightman, made the song famous worldwide and went on to become Bocelli’s best-selling single.

To this day, Andrea Bocelli remains close friends with Henry Maske. Speaking about that defining performance, Bocelli said: “Everything changed after that. Henry Maske was a real stroke of luck for me. If he hadn’t chosen that song back then, my career would probably have taken a very different course.”

Bocelli had already made his international breakthrough in 1993 with his victory at the Sanremo Festival. This was followed by numerous successful releases and major opera productions, including “Manon Lescaut”, “Turandot” and “Otello”. His collaboration with the Italian rock singer Zucchero on the track “Miserere” also attracted a great deal of attention. In 2018, Bocelli made music history once again: his album “Sì” simultaneously reached number one in the album charts in both the UK and the US – a feat no Italian artist had ever achieved before.

Throughout a career spanning more than three decades, Andrea Bocelli has thrilled audiences at sold-out arena concerts, internationally acclaimed live streams and performances at major events. Most recently, he has performed at events including the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Bocelli has received numerous awards for his artistic achievements, including a Golden Globe, seven Classical BRIT Awards and seven World Music Awards. In 2010, he was also awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
