Altre voci, altri echi – Tribute to Luciano Berio on his 100th Birthday

Between the two compositions, Other Echoes by composer Nicola Sani, born in Ferrara in 1961, will be performed for the first time in Germany. The piece is inspired by T.S. Eliot's cycle of poems Four Quartets.
The title takes up a line from the first poem, Burnt Norton: “Other echoes inhabit the garden. Shall we follow?” “Other echoes inhabit the garden. Shall we follow?”). The four string instruments enter into dialogue with each other – just as Eliot's poems are interconnected. The themes of time, repetition, space, and reverberation are translated into music.

Quartetto Sincronie was founded in 2011. After numerous appearances at national and international festivals, concerts, and on the radio, their first CD, “Monteverdi – Malipiero,” was released in December 2023 and nominated for the International Classical Music Award 2025.
