Agnes Obel

With *Philharmonics*, the Danish artist – now based in Berlin – achieved her international breakthrough in 2010. This was followed by *Aventine*, *Citizen of Glass* and *Myopia* – albums with which Obel continued to refine her unmistakable style, blending neo-classical, alternative and pop. Her atmospheric compositions have long been featured in international film and TV series productions.

Now Agnes Obel is back with *The Meaning of Flowers* – her first studio album in six years. The twelve tracks were recorded in her Berlin studio and combine piano, synthesiser and samples with strings, flute, saxophone and other organic sounds. Inspired by new beginnings, connection and change, the album opens up new musical horizons whilst remaining true to Obel’s signature sound.

In autumn 2027, Agnes Obel will be performing live in Berlin. Her concert promises an evening full of subtle nuances, quiet intensity and atmospheric moments of sound – music that creates space to leave everyday life behind for a few hours.
