Drinks and DJ sounds at the Ephraim-Palais Museum: The new offer for your after-work excursion into Berlin's city history!
This new, quarterly event series is aimed at everyone who enjoys visiting museums in the evenings or simply wants to experience museums in a completely different way: During the "After-Work Music TIME," a rotating line-up of live DJs will accompany your exhibition visit!
This time, a Berlin-Istanbul DJ icon is invited: İpek İpekçioğlu, a.k.a. DJ Ipek, is a pioneer of the global ethnic-oriental electronic music scene – as a DJ, producer, curator, and queer activist.
As the resident DJ of the legendary "Gayhane – QueerOriental Dancefloor" at Berlin's SO36 club, Ipek has shaped the sound and community for more than 30 years. Their sets transcend boundaries of origin, gender, and identity, transforming every dance floor—whether an underground rave or a festival stage—into a space of freedom, resistance, and belonging.
Based on themes from the permanent exhibition "BerlinZEIT," Ipek presents a musical journey for listening and dancing on this special evening. It ranges from traditional sounds to electronic sounds, complemented by original productions, remixes, and edits from Turkey. The set will be broadcast throughout the museum, and the Phoebe and the Gang cocktail bar on the ground floor offers cool drinks.
On the third floor of the museum, the special exhibition "Berlin Courtyards" invites you to discover the hidden retreats of the big city. Don't miss it!
