Valleys
Adam O’Farrill, born in Brooklyn to a well-known family of musicians, is considered one of the most interesting young trumpeters on the international jazz scene and was awarded the German Record Critics’ Prize, among other honors, for his 2021 album *Visions of Your Other*.

His debut at the Pierre Boulez Saal is dedicated to the world premiere of *Valleys*, a new project in which he displays his usual stylistic versatility, combining abstract gestures with soulful melodies.
In the first part of the program, he performs in a duo with Portuguese trumpeter Susana Santos Silva; the second half of the evening features him in a trio with South Korean cellist Okkyung Lee and English drummer Tom Skinner.
