Whether alone, together, lonely, in company, renting, living on the streets or owning their own home – everyone lives somewhere. Particularly in large and overpriced cities, questions are increasingly being asked: How do I find a suitable and affordable flat? How much space does a person need – and how much are they prepared to sacrifice for it? When do people open their doors, and when do they welcome a bit of space between them?
In their play, the Club Thikwa ensemble explores neighbourhood life, homelessness, home ownership, accessibility and pigeons in the hallway – all within 46 square metres. They convey dreams of a better life and pose existential questions. An evening of homelessness full of spaces.
