Design market with cultural program, creative workshops and culinary delights
The diversity of Berlin's Japanese community makes this event a vibrant celebration of Japanese culture and cuisine. Visitors can expect a diverse range of art, culture, design, fashion, music, and lifestyle experiences centered around the Land of the Rising Sun.
A varied cultural program invites you to explore both traditional and modern Japan and discover the diversity and evolving nature of this unique culture.
In the workshop areas, guests have the opportunity to experience Japanese handicrafts firsthand. Shodo workshops offer the chance to try their hand at the art of Japanese calligraphy and create their own kanji. Origami workshops also open the door to the fascinating world of Japanese paper art.
Printmaking workshops allow participants to create individual works of art for their homes, thematically tailored to the respective events.
Tastings provide insights into the world of Japanese sake and Japanese cuisine. Even the youngest guests are catered for: A colorful children's program invites them to participate creatively – from painting T-shirts with Japanese motifs to designing Pokémon cards.
