Dragon Playground in Berlin-Friedrichshain

Build sand castles and climb in the Dragon's playground

This public playground is guarded by a large green wooden dragon. The children can climb on his back and dance around his nose; two slides bring them all back down again safely. In summer, the dragon's body provides shade for playing in the sand and the water pump provides the necessary refreshment and also sticky sand for building castles. The playground is completely fenced-in and clearly visible from all over. The play equipment is secured with nets at the openings. The playground is always busy, especially at weekends.

Dragon dance and nearby street cafés

For parents, there are plenty of benches to rest on and lots of nearby cafes where families can stop for snacks and a drink. In addition, each year at the end of May, beginning of June, the neighbourhood organises a Kite Festival, a real highlight for kids.
