Artisan Christmas market at Mexikoplatz

As every year, on the four Sundays in Advent, the artisan Christmas market takes place at Mexikoplatz, also known as the “Artist station”. Here you can stroll at your leisure through a Christmas market of a special kind, where arts and crafts are the main focus. Handcrafted designer jewellery, paintings, porcelain and decorations, made with great attention to detail, are offered by various exhibitors at their stands. At the artisan Christmas market at Mexikoplatz in Zehlendorf you will find unique gifts that cannot be purchased anywhere else.

Long tradition

For more than 30 years, the Mexikoplatz S-Bahn station has been the venue for the artisan Christmas market. Meanwhile, the “Artist Station” organised by KUNSTHAND-BERLIN has thus become a real Berlin institution.

Handmade one-off items and culinary specialities

Here everything revolves around arts and crafts: over 90 selected cottage industries and artist workshops present their works and offer handmade one-off items for sale. They make them from wood, ceramics, metal, fabric or various gemstones. If you would like to give your loved ones something even more unique, then you have the opportunity here to have your portrait painted.  
Culinary specialities are also on offer at the artisan Christmas market at Mexikoplatz: you can enjoy homemade mulled wine, Käsespätzle (cheese noodles) and probably the best waffles in Berlin.

The artisan Christmas market at Mexikoplatz is located directly by the Mexikoplatz S-Bahn station in Berlin-Zehlendorf. Unfortunately, there are very few parking spaces available in the neighbouring streets, so we recommend that you use public transport.
