Ute Mahler on the road with Regine Hildebrandt

To mark the 25th anniversary of Regine Hildebrandt’s death, the Friends of the Willy Brandt House will be exhibiting photographs of the dedicated politician from 27 November 2026 to 7 February 2027.

All the photographs were taken by the photographer Ute Mahler, who accompanied Regine Hildebrandt to numerous engagements in the 1990s. The result is a series of snapshots of a minister who always approached her work with passion and heart, and who never stood still.

As a companion in the family’s everyday life, Ute Mahler was also able to capture Regine Hildebrandt’s private side. The result is ‘Liebe Regine’ (Dear Regine), a tribute to Regine Hildebrandt that sheds light on the most diverse aspects of her life.
