Guided tours of the ‘Wavematters’ exhibition

How do sound, light, heat and electromagnetic waves shape our everyday lives? The

exhibition ‘Wavematters. Attending to the Spectral. Bodies, Cities, Devices’ explores how invisible waves influence bodies, cities and technical devices.

The exhibition is based on the ERC-funded research project WAVEMATTERS (Urban Vibrations: How Physical Waves Come to Matter in Contemporary Urbanism) at Humboldt University in Berlin.

The five-year project, led by Ignacio Farías, investigates how physical waves shape urban life and how their effects are experienced in everyday life and socially negotiated.

Members of the WAVEMATTERS team provide insights into the exhibition and the underlying research project.
