Bavarian joie de vivre in the heart of Berlin: for eight evenings, the historic beer garden at Café am Neuen See is transformed into a proper Oktoberfest right by the water’s edge.

Live music features Bavarian classics and atmospheric tunes, whilst traditional Bavarian specialities such as pretzels, Allgäu cheese spaetzle, grilled chicken with potato and gherkin salad, bratwurst with sauerkraut, and a snack platter with Leberkäs and Obazda are on offer. The beer (in Maß-sized glasses, of course!) comes from the König Ludwig Brewery in Kaltenberg near Munich.

Whether in a dirndl, lederhosen or something more casual: the celebrations take place in a convivial atmosphere with a view of the lake. Traditional costume is very much welcome. Over four weekends, on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 pm, the Bavarian Evenings invite you to round off the summer evening with music, good food and Bavarian cosiness.
