Much to their stepmother’s delight, Hansel and Gretel get lost in the forest. Driven by hunger, they find their way to the witch’s cottage. The witch captures them. She plans to fatten Hansel up and roast him, whilst Gretel is made to do hard labour. Things look bleak for the two of them, but then Gretel comes up with a trick.
